The Contemporary Gugak Orchestra of the National Gugak Center was founded in 2004 under the banner of flourishing creative Korean music through transmission of traditional music and promoting performances that reflect the musical demands of the present era. It became the starting point for researching and developing creative music that encompasses composition and performance based on the creative tradition of the National Gugak Center that has been built up so far. Starting with the inaugural concert, "Coordination and Conversation for the World," since 2005, the Orchestra has worked on recreating existing pieces into masterpieces, as well as the well-known masterpieces, through the Invitation to Masterpieces series. In the "Lying Down by the Tree" series introduced since 2014, members of the Orchestra took part in the composition and arrangement. The Orchestra has kept on many different endeavors on creative music, such as the Series of Rediscovery of Traditional Music that reinterpret major traditional music into current music, and the Composer Series that illuminate the works of representative composers who have become the foundation of creative Korean music.

Audiences who use performances, exhibitions (paid) and experiences (paid exhibition experience) can get a discount on parking fees when using Sejong-ro public parking lot.
If you complete the settlement in advance at the unmanned settlement machine before you leave, you can avoid congestion when you leave. For other discounts, please use the manned settlement office with the relevant certificate. - Sejongro Public Parking Lot has limited space and is often full, requiring a long time to find parking. Especially on weekends and public holidays, it fills up quickly, so we highly recommend using public transportation.

- Reservation can be canceled and changed by 5p.m. the day before the viewing date (weekdays/weekends (Saturday and Sunday)/holiday)
- No reservation cancellation, change, or refund on the day of the viewing date

Cancellation Fee
- If you make a reservation three days before the viewing date, you will not be charged a fee if you cancel it within midnight on the day of the Internet reservation. From two days before the viewing date, cancellation fees will also be charged for cancellation on the day of reservation.(See below.)
